As part of my campaign to win the seat of Oxley, I visited Spooners Avenue. It is supposed to be part of a flood route between Frederickton and Kempsey, but I was disappointed to see that the road is in poor condition. I firmly believe that the National Party is to blame for this neglect. Despite their dominance in council, state and federal government, they have done nothing to improve this vital road infrastructure for the community. The same can be said for the Kempsey to Armidale road, which is also in poor condition. If the people of Oxley continue to vote for the National Party, they will continue to receive neglect and poor infrastructure. I pledge to work towards improving these important routes for the community and make sure that their needs are met.
