I recently visited Crescent Head and spoke with locals about their concerns. One issue that came up frequently was the potential private development in the area, which locals are worried will use up all the street parking. I understand that the community wants sustainable development, but they also want to avoid ending up like the Gold Coast, where overdevelopment has led to a loss of public spaces. I am committed to finding a solution that will benefit everyone. Locals also expressed concerns about access to the beach for horse riding and other activities, which is important to them. I want to work with the community to ensure that their interests are taken into account and that any development is done in a way that is respectful of the community’s needs and values.
