As a candidate for the seat of Oxley, I am a strong supporter of our local abattoirs. These businesses provide valuable jobs and are an important part of our local economy. However, to ensure that these jobs are secure and that the businesses can continue to thrive, we need to create an environment that is conducive to their success. This means making sure that food processing businesses, such as the abattoir in Frederickton, have access to affordable energy and water. I will work to make sure that these businesses have access to these resources so that they can keep operating and providing jobs for our community. Additionally, I would like to see the local abattoirs to have an export license, this will not only helps the abattoirs to thrive but also benefit the local economy by providing more jobs and revenue.
