As a candidate running for the seat of Oxley, I have strong thoughts on Local Land Services. In my opinion, it has become an abject failure and is disconnected from the primary producers it is supposed to serve. The so-called “greenwashing” initiatives have been a huge waste of resources and have not addressed the critical issues facing primary producers such as livestock disease outbreaks, noxious weeds and feral animals, traveling stock reserves and flood refuges. When elected, I will take immediate action to address these issues by ordering a forensic audit of Local Land Services and giving it a long-overdue overhaul. My top priority will be to ensure that primary producers have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
